PROGRAM DESCRIPTION

HALDI College provides Hispanic students professional and personal development and leadership training to facilitate better integration to the university environment and professional life.

By training our professionals and emerging leaders in a culturally committed environment, we prepare to students to become professional leaders in the Hispanic community.

UNIQUE PROGRAM

  • HALDI College emphasizes learning through the dynamic culture of the Hispanic community.
  • HALDI College understands the importance of developing Hispanic students in order to develop the Hispanic community.

OBJECTIVES HALDI COLLEGE

  • Train emerging student leaders committed to both their own development and the development of the Hispanic community.
  • Through workshops, lectures and critical discussions, increase the cultural competency of the participants, along with their leadership skills and a broader knowledge of the Latino community
  • Increase the number of Hispanic leaders prepared at the college level in order to further the development of the Hispanic community in the metropolitan area of Cleveland.

PROGRAM COMPONENTS

  • Formation – Participants develop skills in cultural competence, innovation, intercultural communication, self-management task, social responsibility and leadership-building.
  • Acquisition – Participants acquire the tools to facilitate their own teacher-apprentice relationship.
  • Reciprocity – participants contribute to the professional development of the Latino community.
